Different Countries in the world have different Television Line Standards, most of Europe is on 625 PAL and notably USA, Japan & Canada is on 525 NTSC.
France developed its own variation on the PAL system called SECAM
Below is a list of the majority of the world’s countries and the line standards that they use, if there’s a country not in the list below please get in contact with us and we will advise.
PAL Countries
(PAL stands for Phase Alternation Line, which is the way the pictures are scanned onto the Television screen. 625 Lines

NTSC Countries
(NTSC stands for National Television Standards Committee, which was the American team of people who devised the system in the 1950’s 525 Lines, 30 frames per seconds. Countries other than the USA that used 525 NTSC system
SECAM
(SECAM stands for Séquence de Couleur á Mémoire, it is the television system devised by French engineers, it’s very similar to the PAL system, and Broadcasters use 625 PAL tapes for production. If you are sending viewing copies however, it may be best to supply them
with SECAM copies.
